Recorded pre-pandemic over a couple sessions -- one in Dec. '19 and the other in Jan. '20 -- this music has been with us for a while as part of our soundtrack for these unusual times. I remember using the term "ambient jazz" a lot during those sessions, wanting to try something more expansive and stretched out than in previous recordings. I should note that all of our recorded music started as improvisations with varying degrees of editing after the fact, but this music wanted very little of that. As the nearly-fifteen-minute-title track suggests, we trusted our improvisational process and let the music breathe naturally as the individual meditations they are. Thank you for listening.
